Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems.
The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit. In comparison to other superconducting platforms, cat qubits have the astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously!
We are at the forefront of the quantum race, competing with tech giants such as Google or IBM, and we are growing fast after securing 30 million USD of funding in 2022 to develop our unique technology.
Currently 100+ and counting, between physicists, PhD students, engineers and experienced business professionals, we are united to reach our ambitious goal. Are you a quantum pioneer? Join us on a mission to reshape the future!
As a Mechanical and Electronic Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development and implementation of high-tech systems that combine the principles of RF and DC mechanical and electronic engineering. You will be involved in all stages of the product lifecycle, from design to prototyping, testing and manufacturing. Working closely with the various microwave, experimentalist teams, you will ensure the seamless integration of mechanical and electrical systems into revolutionary products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and development: Contribute to the design of very low-temperature mechanical systems with very high integration of complex electronic components, by developing detailed CAD models, electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- System integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of components for thermalization, RF and DC signal processing, etc., optimizing performance and reliability. optimize system performance and reliability.
- Prototyping and testing: Lead and participate in prototype development, testing and troubleshooting to identify design issues and optimize system functionality.
- Product lifecycle support: Provide support throughout the product lifecycle, including system validation, compliance testing and preparation for series production and operational maintenance.
- Documentation: Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test protocols and product manuals.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for system improvement and optimization, drawing on feedback from team usage testing and product iterations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronics or related field.
- 3 to 5 years' experience in the design and development of mechanical systems with a strong integration of electronic components, preferably in a high-tech environment. Knowledge of RF and cryogenics is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical design principles, including 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks) and finite element analysis.
- Proficiency in electrical circuit design, including PCB design and electrical system simulation (e.g. Kicad, or equivalent tools).
- Experience in prototyping and practical testing of mechanical and electronic systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
