Alice & Bob are a deep tech company going through an R&D stage to build the first fault-tolerant Quantum Computer. We secured 30 million USD in funding to further develop our unique technology.
We are a young team with some of the brightest scientific minds joining us straight from completing their PhD or university. Of course, we are serious about our mission and participation in the quantum race alongside tech giants like Google and IBM, however we are also keen to create ever-lasting memories. We’re looking for an Innovation and Partnerships Manager to help us drive collaborations, secure funding, and manage projects that are shaping the future of quantum computing. If you have a strong background in quantum physics, a knack for building relationships, and an entrepreneurial mindset, this role is perfect for you.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Partnerships: Lead and nurture partnerships with academia, research institutions, and companies within the quantum value chain. You’ll pilot several partnerships, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and projects are progressing smoothly.
- Project Leadership: Take ownership of project management, from securing research funding to overseeing deliverables and ensuring alignment with our innovation roadmap.
- Funding Strategy: Monitor funding opportunities and actively pursue new sources of financing, including submissions of project proposals to governmental and private funding bodies.
- Innovation Scouting: Keep a pulse on advancements in quantum technologies, particularly those related to superconducting circuits, and identify breakthroughs that can overcome technical hurdles in our roadmap.
- External Representation: Represent our company at industry conferences and within the broader quantum computing ecosystem, building relationships that further our strategic goals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams—including physicists, marketing, finance, legal, HR, and intellectual property—to ensure seamless communication and execution of projects.
Requirements:
- A PhD or postdoc experience or academic background in quantum physics, with specific knowledge of qubit manipulation and superconducting circuits.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally within a scale-up or research-driven organization combined with a strong ability to manage projects and partnerships.
- A demonstrated ability to build and manage partnerships in academic, governmental, or private sectors, with an understanding of research funding processes.
- Strong communication and relational skills: you’re comfortable leading collaborations, presenting at conferences, and acting as a point of reference for the company.
- Fluency in English: written and spoken. French is a nice to have.
- An entrepreneurial mindset: you’re self-driven, proactive, and excited by the challenge of bringing quantum technologies to life.
