Alice & Bob are a deep tech company going through an R&D stage to build the first fault-tolerant Quantum Computer. We secured 30 million USD in funding to further develop our unique technology.

We are a young team with some of the brightest scientific minds joining us straight from completing their PhD or university. Of course, we are serious about our mission and participation in the quantum race alongside tech giants like Google and IBM, however we are also keen to create ever-lasting memories. Are you ready to play a key role in the growth of a cutting-edge tech company? We’re looking for a Purchaser to help us build our next-generation infrastructure—ranging from nanofabrication to cryogenics—by managing the entire procurement process. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with our brilliant Experiments and Engineering teams, ensuring we have the best tools and resources to continue innovating in the quantum computing space.

Your Mission:


    • As our Purchaser, you’ll be attached to the Procurement Manager and work closely with cross-functional teams to bring our projects to life. Your role will include:
    • Partnering with internal teams to define their needs, guiding them in identifying the best solutions for our ambitious infrastructure projects.
    • Negotiating with suppliers to ensure we meet our budget and timeline goals, while also pushing for innovation that matches our technical roadmap.
    • Building and strengthening relationships with key suppliers, while continually expanding our supplier network to support our growing needs.
    • Driving process improvement: You’ll play an integral role in developing our procurement processes, working within an agile, rapidly evolving organization.
    • Market monitoring to stay ahead of trends, ensuring we’re always equipped with the most advanced and cost-effective solutions

A Little About You:


    • This role is made for someone who thrives in a technical, dynamic environment and enjoys being a pivotal player in driving the success of cutting-edge projects. You have:
    • 5+ years of purchasing experience in an industrial or technological field (experience with electronics, cryogenics, or nanofabrication is a big plus).
    • Deep knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, especially within highly technical sectors.
    • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence and manage stakeholders at various levels.
    • A knack for organization and structure: you can balance multiple projects, maintain clear communication, and never lose sight of the details.
    • A proactive, autonomous work style, combined with the ability to challenge and be challenged to ensure the best outcomes.
    • Fluency in English and French —and if you speak other languages, even better!
