The Product Design team owns the end-to-end user-facing design process: research, concepting, wireframing, prototyping, testing, refining, and high fidelity designs. Reporting to the Director of Product Design, the Product Designer will work closely with the brand, editorial, clinical and product teams to deliver designs that inform, delight and empower our members to live better, healthier lives. 

The ideal candidate will be an evangelist for user-centered design, advocating that the user is top-of-mind for any designed products and experiences. They will balance research, data, and a thoughtful approach with creativity, flexibility, and a bias for action.

Responsibilities

    • Create and evolve designs for our member-facing mobile app and our clinician-facing web portal
    • Design simple, elegant, data-driven, user-centric experiences that delight
    • Communicate design ideas via sketches, storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, functional prototypes, or animations
    • Engage across the end-to-end design process: research, concept, wireframing, prototyping, testing, refining, and shipping
    • Align and contribute to design systems
    • Assist in maintaining visual and brand consistency across all products and outlets
    • Work with stakeholders to translate business goals into unique product experiences
    • Work with clinicians to improve their tools and patient outcomes
    • Work with managers and engineers to ship products

Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience as an interaction, user experience, or product designer
    • Familiarity with the latest tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe suite, etc)
    • Experience designing for multiple platforms (mobile, web)
    • Experience collaborating across multiple disciplines/departments
    • Excellent visual design skills, with a high attention to detail and a critical eye
    • Portfolio showcasing multiple projects with user-centered design solutions, strong foundations in UX design, visual design, layout, and typography
    • Interest in finding simple solutions to complex problems
    • An ability to listen, distill, and integrate multiple points of view
    • Ability to balance strategic and conceptual thinking
    • Comfortable with ambiguity, driven towards clarity
