Summary
The Inflight Training Scheduler is responsible for the development of the daily operational training logistics plan. Duties include the oversight and management of ensuring event coverage, FAA compliance, assigning facility/equipment, student and instructor resources, and stewardship of training assets. Additionally, the Inflight Training Scheduler will assist the Manager of Inflight Training and Standards with enhanced communication between students and instructors, and the facilitation and scheduling of all company flight attendant training in the classrooms and devices, regulatory training events, and mandatory Inflight Training meetings. Often the Inflight Training Scheduler provides data and analytical support for the training scheduling/planning processes while meeting contractual deadlines. They strive to drive down crew/operational training costs through proper scheduling and increased utilization of resources. This position reports to the Manager of Inflight Training and Standards and directly supports: scheduling operations, instructors, crew members, the Federal Aviation Administration, finance, payroll, and third-party vendors. Regulatory compliance, schedule continuity and adherence to policies and procedures are imperative responsibilities held with this position.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

Years of Experience:
Minimum four (4) years of experience in airline industry.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in Crew or Training Scheduling operations.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in a high stress, high demand environment.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in Airline Management or Customer Service Management.

•Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - proficiency test required.
•Working knowledge of the hiring development and related personnel processes.
•Exceptional ability to control, manage and coordinate multiple departments in challenging multiple operational situations while simultaneously making informed decisions in a timely manner with goal driven outcomes.
•Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
•Self-starter.
•Demonstrated ability to be discreet in matters of confidential information.
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prioritize and coordinate with associated departments.
•Ability to display a high level of self-discipline, and motivation while taking on a leadership role as needed to interact effectively with all levels or personnel.
•Ability to treat all individuals with fairness and respect and act in accordance with the expressed Allegiant Standards.
•Ability and willingness to provide on-call and after-hours support as this position serves as on-call personnel for the training department and are required to answer, respond and resolve after-hour issues.

Preferred Requirements
•Working knowledge of FAR 121 and FAR 117 operations as they pertain to crew training/scheduling and maintenance operations.
•Working knowledge of current crew management systems and scheduling systems.

Job Duties
•Ensure all operational training meets contractual and regulatory compliance.
•Continue to monitor the training plan when implemented. React to deviations to the plan and developing cost effective alternatives.
•Manage operational resources of the airline to ensure maximum operational performance as measured and directed by management.
•Control, maintain and monitor the training instructor staffing levels.
•Create work schedules that ensure proper and successful interaction between instructors and students that will ensure training deadlines are met.
•Ensure all training data is entered into appropriate data tracking tools.
•Work alongside the records and qualification division to ensure compliance with training footprints.
•Ensure timely training of scheduled FAA events.
•Ensure the daily operations of training is safe, efficient and that performance goals are met.
•Process and procedure development of the Training Scheduling Procedure Manual as it pertains to the position.
•Coordination of policy updates and enforcement based on regulatory changes under the direction senior leadership.
•Adhere to guidance and direction while maintaining an effective working relationship with Flight Operations Management, Aircraft Maintenance Management, Stations Management, and Inflight Management.
•Assure there is a constant and timely flow of information between all departments, instructors, management, and operational crew members.
•Field concerns by instructors, crew members, the respective Management teams and departments.
•Foster a positive work environment that values open communication, trust and personal accountability.
•Report to leadership on a regular basis on overall Training Scheduling operation performance.
•Provide on-call and after-hour support. Answer, respond and resolve after-hour issues.
•Control and maintain the correlation between instructor to crew calendars, classroom, and door trainer schedules.
•Control, update and maintain class records database for all operational initial and recurrent training.
•Coordinate classroom schedules with outside vendors.
•Collect, maintain, and report on operating statistics, as directed by the Manager of Inflight Training and Standards.
•Act as liaison between departments as it pertains to this position.
•Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing direction.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
