Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance Airworthiness, the Major Repairs and Alterations Specialist will be responsible for assessment of aircraft repairs and alterations on all aircraft and to ensure inducted aircraft repairs/alterations are compliant and to record and track previously addressed damages. Additionally, The Major Repairs and Alterations Specialist is responsible to create the aircraft BOW and to create/audit M313 deferred maintenance requirements.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Education Details: High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred.
Certification: Yes
Certification Details: FAA Airframe certificate.
Years of Experience: Minimum five (5) years of experience maintaining, repairing, engineering (including liason), and/or leading maintenance of aircraft structural repairs/alterations on Airbus and/or Boeing aircraft.
Valid/Unexpired Passport Book: Yes
Valid/Unexpired Driver's License: No
•Basic computer skills.
•Working knowledge of Federal Regulations pertaining to aircraft repair and alteration.
•Ability and willingness to travel (both domestically and internationally) as required.
Preferred Requirements
•A & P certificate or 5 years Aviation or Part 145 experience
Job Duties
•Review M360 damage reports and record data in the aircraft repairs/damage log.
•Review M313 deferred maintenance requests and data entry for accuracy.
•Enter M313 data into a computer tracking system for deferred maintenance requirements.
•Review aircraft weighing task cards and Weight and Balance reports from Engineering.
•Create the aircraft BOW following aircraft weighing.
•Assess repairs and alterations for correct Major/Minor determination.
•Maintain regulatory required historical listings of major alterations and create the required monthly Major Alteration Report (MAR) for submission to the FAA.
•Monitor newly created Engineering Orders to ensure proper classification and processing of repairs and alterations.
•Assess the status of existing repairs and alterations of newly obtained aircraft.
•Ensure proper identification and tracking of deferred repairs and inspections necessitated by major repairs and alterations.
•Manage and track repair and terminations of major repairs and alterations.
•Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Regulatory Compliance Airworthiness.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
