Summary
The Manager of Tax will be responsible for assisting the Vice President of Taxation in managing the Company’s income tax compliance and provision processes.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Certification Details: Certified Public Accountant
Years of Experience: Minimum four (4) years of professional experience in tax accounting and tax compliance.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills (technical and non-technical).
•Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Requirements
•Knowledge of: ASC 740, federal and state income and non-income tax regulatory and compliance knowledge.
•Microsoft Excel, OneSource Income Tax, OneSource Tax Provision, SQL, SAP, Sage Premier Depreciation.
•Master's Degree in Tax or Accounting.
Job Duties
•Tax Accounting:
•Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual tax provisions.
•Support internal and external auditors through their quarterly reviews and annual audits of our tax provision and processes.
•Maintain ongoing review of Company tax positions to ensure compliance with tax laws and ASC 740.
•Ensure compliance with COSO framework and SOX over tax reporting areas.
•Income Tax Compliance:
•Prepare and/or review federal and state income tax returns.
•Coordinate with tax advisers to ensure timely review and filing of federal and state tax returns.
•Coordinate with the tax compliance consultants to ensure accurate and timely filing of international tax returns.
•Manage and oversee federal and state extensions and quarterly tax payments.
•Tax Audits and Special Projects:
•Support the Vice President of Taxation on ongoing tax audits and special projects.
•Provide tax strategy and research to support Management on future corporate activities and potential transactions.
•Fixed Assets:
•Maintain and calculate Federal and state tax depreciation of fixed assets through utilization of tax depreciation software.
•Other:
•Assist with various withholding and information reporting requirements.
•Maintain professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging issues, participating in educational opportunities, and reviewing professional publications.
•Mentor direct reports in their professional and technical growth.
•Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate.
•Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
•Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
