Summary
The Financial Reporting Senior Accountant is responsible for the preparation of quarterly and annual filings, research and interpretation of US GAAP in order to compose technical accounting memos, facilitation of Sarbanes-Oxley procedures and requirements, and interfacing with others throughout the organization on a wide range of productivity improvement, cost-containment and other goals and objectives.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education:  Bachelor’s Degree
Education Details: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Years of Experience:  
Minimum three (3) years of related experience including public accounting and SOX/internal controls.
Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience.

•Knowledge of GAAP.
•Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel Experience (spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data manipulation/analysis and formula creation).
•Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint, PowerApps).
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Outstanding integrity and teamwork.
•Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to interact and interface with all levels of management.
•Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments, to work on several projects/products concurrently and to meet or beat deadlines.
•Understanding of organizational interdependencies and cultural nuances; ability to leverage these to build relationships within the organization.
•Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

Preferred Requirements
•Experience with Workiva.
•Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
•Master's Degree in Accounting.

Job Duties
•Analyze and oversee reconciliation of various general ledger accounts related to revenue and other areas as assigned.
•Assist in month-end close procedures, including review of journal entries and review of balance sheet account reconciliations.
•Prepare and review financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and comprehensive income statement for quarterly and annual filings.
•Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation reporting requirements including preparation of monthly and quarterly operational and financial reports.
•Contribute in the close consolidation process.
•Contribute in the year-end reporting and audit process, including preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A. 
•Collaborate with both internal and external auditors and various business accounting groups.
•Complete various monthly/quarterly reporting to meet business, Allegiant, and external requirements.
•Assist in providing technical guidance on complex accounting topics.
•Assist in implementation of newly adopted accounting standards, policies, processes and controls.
•Maintain internal controls and policies to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
•Assist in the governance of internal controls and compliance in financial reporting.
•Proactively identify and measure accounting exposures.
•Identify and implement innovation opportunities in the financial reporting space that can be leveraged across the Company.
•Provide ad hoc information, reporting, and/or data analytics to management and business partners.
•Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate.
•Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
•Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.

Annual Salary Range: $77,500-$88,900.
