Allied is seeking a seasonal, part-time Skating Rink Ambassador to join our team at The Well.
We’re thrilled to bring the skating rink experience to The Well, offering guests a festive and family-friendly way to enjoy the holiday season. As a Skating Rink Ambassador, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth, safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors by providing exceptional service and supporting daily rink operations.
What is The Well?
The Well is a unique and innovative joint venture between Allied and Riocan.
Located at Spadina and Front, The Well brings together three million square feet of retail, office, and residential space constructed over 7.7 acres. Through this, The Well sets the stage for meaningful experiences that draw people from down the street and across the globe to eat, shop, work, live and play in Toronto.
What will you do?
- Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing information about The Rink’s policies, skate times, equipment rentals and general details about The Well.
- Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming environment within The Rink rental hut.
- Complete all opening and closing procedures accurately and on schedule.
- Manage guest check-ins and reservations both online and in person.
- Oversee the rental and return of skates, helmets and skate aids.
- Manage bag and shoe check services.
- Ensure all guests complete the required skate release forms prior to participation.
- Monitor guest activity to ensure safety and adherence to The Rink’s code of conduct.
- Communicate with Security and Operations teams via radio when assistance is required.
- Support the coordination of private rink rentals, scheduled performances and ice maintenance activities.
- Complete and maintain accurate reports and records as required.
What are we looking for?
- Comfortable working outdoors in cold weather conditions.
- Available to work Wednesday through Sunday.
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, hospitality or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Adaptable to changes in workflow and business priorities.
- Natural relationship builder with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
