About the Role:
- As a Senior Software Engineer at Alluxio, you will be responsible for leading and evolving the state-of-the-art Alluxio project.. The work would involve selecting and deploying appropriate cloud-native tools to accelerate application development. Knowledge of the target cloud-native tools is necessary, and this role can specialize in one specific native cloud, ex. Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.
As the Senior Software Engineer - CloudNative & K8s at Alluxio, What You Will Be Able To Build and Owner：
- Design and implement and Operation of K8S operator and cloud-native solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform etc.
- Manage and operation of K8S clusters, including maintenance, PoC support and K8S Operator development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and deploy appropriate cloud-native tools to accelerate application development.
- Specialize in one specific native cloud, ex. Azure, AWS, GCP, etc. and possess a strong understanding of the target cloud-native tools.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud-native technologies and integrate innovative approaches for sustained competitive advantage.
Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years experiences of working with Cloud IaaS, CaaS products, technology etc, include but not limited community OSS Kubernetes and commercial products, hands on experience on K8S is required.
- Familiar with Cloud Native and CNCF ecosystem;including platform, tool Kits and key vendors.
- Proven experience to manage and operate K8S cluster Independently, including maintenance, PoC support and K8S Operator development.
- Expertise on Kubernetes technology and related development toolkits, K8S Operator(CRD,Controller) developing experience are required.
- Experience to joint development and build CSI, CNI to extend K8S cluster are good to have.
- Familiar with board of Container, Docker, Helm, Image Registry basic software stack and also have good skills on service mesh, API Gateway, Ingress/Egress etc.
- Programming language: prefer to have Go and Python dev project experience;Linux and Bash scripts experiences as basic working requirements.
- General Enterprise Security and Enterprise Security Integration experience is a plus.
- Experience on one specific native cloud, ex. Azure, AWS, GCP, AliCloud etc.
Good to have skills :
- Good experience of CICD pipeline related tool chain and DevOps approach to build, deploy and update software system.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and familiar with one of Terraform, Ansible tools.
- Container and K8S security related skills: certification management, communication security and data security and CKA certification owner is a plus.
- Solid grasp of cloud migration and implementation best practices, including experience with cloud-native tools and technologies.

The base salary range for this US full-time position is subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes.
