As a part of the infrastructure team, you will be responsible for various aspects of delivering the Alluxio project as a product into the hands of our users. You’ll be involved from beginning to end of the development process, from understanding the motivations behind the issues to solve with the product team, designing and implementing solutions with other engineers, and supporting the features and tools after they are deployed. The ability to learn and execute independently while operating in cloud-based environments is a must to keep up with the fast paced growth.
The data orchestration hub is a modern SaaS product offering that provides a centralized user interface tasked to monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and deploy Alluxio clusters from wherever people may be using Alluxio. In addition to traditional server and agent architecture deployed alongside each Alluxio cluster, the Hub facilitates communication between the heart of the product and an interactive user interface. The ambitious roadmap of the product aims to deploy auxiliary open source products alongside Alluxio in order to provide our users a complete solution to their big data needs.
Qualifications
- An ideal full stack engineer we’re looking for has the following qualifications:BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Experience with programming in Java and/or Golang, or similar languages
- Experience with programming in Typescript, preferably utilizing React
- Familiarity with cloud providers (ex. AWS preferably, GCP, Azure)
- Familiarity with one or more of the following areas: web application development, browser testing infrastructure (ex. Selenium), configuration management, monitoring and observability tools, distributed systems, and/or enterprise software
- A growing startup mentality of doing whatever it takes to: get things done the right way, figure out problems independently, and share your passion with everyone taking part in the same journey
