In response to our continued growth, Altarum is actively seeking a highly motivated Marketing Communications Specialist to support our ongoing corporate marketing and communication efforts. As a crucial member of our organization-wide Marketing Communication team, you will be at the forefront of shaping our brand narrative and fostering impactful connections with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities:

    • This individual will support the full spectrum of marketing focused on the implementation of corporate marketing strategies in support of the company’s growth.
    • Content Development: Participate in research and writing in support of new and existing service offerings 
    • Design:  Develop creative assets with keen eye for detail in both print and digital production 
    • Implementation:  Participate in management of website (Drupal), Support social media marketing (LinkedIn and Twitter), Support email marketing platform and campaigns (MailChimp), Support customer relationship management system and campaign management (Zoho), Manage exhibitions for conferences, Support measurement strategy of the above (Google Analytics 4, Meltwater, PowerBI) 
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as our program teams and business development team, to align marketing efforts with overall organizational goals. 
    • Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends, bringing fresh ideas and a solution-oriented mindset to the team. 

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field 
    • Four or more years of experience in marketing, communication, public relations, or similar functions. 
    • Enthusiastic commitment to staying abreast of cutting-edge marketing, communication, and public relations tactics, tools, and trends, with a passion for pushing the boundaries of innovation within the field. 
    • Strong working knowledge of, or ability to learn, new computer programs easily: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Adobe Suite, e.g., InDesign and Illustrator (design publications for print or digital), WordPress, Drupal (website content updates), Social media platforms (administration and reporting), Customer Relationship Management (Zoho) 
    • Experience in copywriting and editing. 
    • Understanding of Section 508 compliance and basic accessibility guidelines (a plus) or a willingness to learn it on the job. 
    • Ability to attend and conduct meetings via Microsoft Teams or similar virtual platform 
    • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously 
    • Demonstrated attention to detail
