Palladian Partners, an Altarum company based in Silver Spring, MD, is searching for an Engagement Specialist to support the All of Us Research Program. Palladian Partners is a creative communications firm dedicated to disseminating information about new discoveries in health, medicine, and social science to professionals, educators, patients, families, and the public. Our clients include a wide range of government agencies, such as the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The Engagement Specialist position is a high growth opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented engagement and outreach specialist. This individual will lead strategy and implementation of engagement and outreach initiatives. You also will have the opportunity to expand your project management and communication skills while working on meaningful initiatives to advance science and health.
Responsibilities
- Serve as DEO liaison supporting initiatives including pediatric enrollment by serving on projects, working groups and other committees.
- Contribute to policies and procedures related to pediatric engagement as well as community engagement
- Support the Program Official working with participants as partners who serve on various governance and working groups and provide input and feedback on program activities and initiatives
- Serve on other program working groups as needed
- Participate or lead community engagement studios/listening session(s)
- Lead stakeholder meetings, including organizing agendas, identifying presenters, hosting, and any follow-up communications
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Project management skills
- Stakeholder management with various consortium partners including community organizations and participant groups
- Suitability for Federal employment, as determined by a background investigation
You'll earn bonus point if
- Bachelor’s in Public Health or Health Policy or equivalent degree
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Fluent in Spanish
- Experience working directly or indirectly with pediatric populations and their families and/or caregivers
- Experience working with and motivation to advocate for underrepresented in biomedical research (UBR) communities
Logistical Requirements
- At this time we will only accept candidates who are presently eligible to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship.
- Our organization requires that all work, for the duration of your employment, must be completed in the continental U.S. unless required by contract.
- If you are local to our offices in Arlington, Silver Spring, Ann Arbor, or Portland this role will be hybrid.
- Must be able to work during eastern time unless approved by your manager.
- Travel: one week for annual team retreat and 2-3 other domestic travel for projects
