ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking an innovative Music Operations Specialist to join our team in building, developing, and publishing multiple music game portfolios. As a Music Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for curating and designing music-related content and interactions within the game to deliver the best musical experience to players.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- You will be responsible for the audio output of a game: Stay updated to music trends worldwide and select appropriate and latest songs for the game
- Research and collaborate with game designers and developers to design and improve music game interaction
- Ensure all in-game audio meets the required game standards.
- Provide audio technical solutions and produce technical documentation as needed.
- Design level and improve game level design framework.
QUALIFICATION
- Knowledge of music composition, including music theory, elements, and song structures.
- Ability to curate song lists with clear intentions and hypotheses.
- Ability to research music trends worldwide.
- Ability to analyze songs by genre and mood to find similar tracks.
- Familiarity with at least one DAW, such as FL Studio, Cubase, Ableton, or REAPER.
- Ability to cut and edit audio clips to enhance user experience, integrating them seamlessly into the game.
- Evaluate and advise on audio volume and quality when played through device speakers.
- Basic knowledge of MIDI signal output.
- Basic understanding of rhythm game design principles.
- Ability to read and understand data, interpret correlations between metrics, and understand user behavior to improve user experience.
- Ability to conduct playtesting and gather feedback.
- Ability to create clear, structured documentation.
- Portfolio showcasing rhythm games.
- Ability to play a musical instrument.
Music production skills:
Experience with rhythm game-level design:
