AMARO is looking for a Fashion Design Lead who has a great eye for fashion, premium aesthetics sense and deep fashion repertoire to lead our Fashion Designers from initial conception through to creative management, while maintaining brand integrity. 

You will report to the Head of Assortment and will work closely with Buying & Development teams to realize a range that’s as stylish and fashion-forward as it is affordable and fast-selling.

What you'll do:

    • Research: identify and propose new trends, advocates and influence trend ideas in assortments;
    • Brand consistency and evolution: develop and maintain the brand's design standards to drive brand consistency and evolution. Provide innovative creative solutions that both elevate the brand and engage customers.
    • Strategy and project management: present and deploy innovative ideas to keep AMARO always as a brand of the future, working with different areas of the company;
    • Liaison: be the point of reference for fashion in the company, enlightening and teaching different teams about the latest trends. Influence cross-functional partners on product direction. Maintain seamless communication with partners on other teams, effectively translating creative strategy when needed;
    • Analysis & Iteration: gather information about customer satisfaction and clients demand and insights to guide creative decisions, create new products and improve sales;
    • Coach: 100% responsibility over Fashion Design team members - train, lead, motivate and inspire a team of Fashion Designers of several seniority levels. Review and thoughtfully critique your team's work, providing actionable feedback and helpful suggestions;
    • Timeline management: manage aggressive deadlines and direct an even workload distribution across your team;
    • Scale: always focus on delivery with an emphasis on best seller products and trending designs; working closely with the Category Manager to win the market;
    • Think critically to drive efficiency, strategically planning work that can be used across multiple channels and media.

What your qualifications are:

    • Extensive experience in style direction, illustration skills, deep fashion repertoire (knowledge of new brands and heritage brands);
    • International experience will be highly appreciated;
    • Systems: MS Office suite, Photoshop;
