About the Role

We're looking for an experienced, innovative, passionate, and self-motivated individual Director of Supply Chain to join our Print Products Supply Chain team.
This role will leverage cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions for Amaze's material suppliers, logistics couriers, and fulfillment partners in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. We are looking for leaders who combine strong planning, operations, vendor management, and logistics backgrounds with a bias for delivering results through collaboration, thinking big, and creating healthy supplier relationships. Planning activities will include building annual, quarterly, and monthly product, and logistics operational plan, including partner fulfillment efficiencies, new product, partner and creator launches, and planning for other events throughout the year. We don’t want you to just be a resource that manages the supply chain - we want you to act as a genuine partner with your team and the broader business. We also need your extensive operations, collaboration and leadership experience to build the foundations for our future teams.

What you'll do

    • Build and manage the end-to-end inventory, logistics and 3rd party vendor management processes and workflows to drive the capability & resources required to drive investment decisions for 1 to 2 years horizon.
    • Build the product and 3rd party plans and manage the execution of plans to support the performance of 3rd party fulfillment efficiencies.
    • Create and implement demand and supply allocation strategies to maximize order routing, sales, and customer experience.
    • Define and continuously improve key end-to-end planning performance indicators from order forecasting to logistics and customer on-time delivery.
    • Performing creative analysis to answer strategic business initiatives and provide scalable solutions to meet demand and scale.
    • Consistently identify and perform due diligence on new suppliers.  Lead efforts to diversify supply base in an efficient manner.
    • Negotiate supplier material and fulfillment costs and identify efficiencies for cost savings and performanceWork closely with the CFO and finance teams to maintain updated delivery, cost, supplier and product data in Netsuite to continuously improve data accuracy
    • Communicating strategic and tactical decisions through formal updates to a wide variety of stakeholders, including executive-level, category management, finance, operations, customer service and engineering teams
    • Serve as a liaison with engineering teams supporting operations and ecommerce to drive efficiencies and scalable solutions in logistics, 3rd party fulfillment and order management
    • The position will require travel to our Kentucky office and to our Print Partners, as required.
    • Define roles and set goals for the Operations & Supply Chain team.
    • Establish close partnership with leadership, especially Growth, Success, Product Marketing and Engineering to define the strategic Operations needs and roadmap, aligned to the business strategy. Including managing planning and delivery of ops projects and initiatives across the wider business.
    • Ultimately, establish and grow the Operations & Supply Chain area of business at Amaze to support our big vision.  

What we're looking for

    • Industry experience in a role leading a diverse supply chain team in the areas of logistics, inventory, and 3rd party fulfillment partner management
    • Knowledge and experience with print manufacturing [essential]
    • Lean methodology experience in Supply Chain
    • Experience working with a broad variety of teams from marketing to engineering.
    • Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills. An engaging personality who can take the business on the journey with them. Be able to break down complex topics into simple solutions and ideas
    • Highly organized, self-motivated, proactive and able to plan.
    • Ability to analyze, understand complex supply chain problems and explain technical information in business terms.
    • Coach a team of operations & supply chain specialists, to improve individual and team performance
    • Self-motivated and a team player
    • Passionate about people – internal and external customers as well as team members
    • Familiarity with building teams while in a dynamic, fast-moving business environment
    • A keen eye for detail while consistently meeting strict turnaround deadline times
