Technical Project Manager @ Amaze

Amaze is a rapidly growing and international company that needs strategic, organized and thoughtful people to focus on scaling the business through scalable processes, successful projects and efficient delivery lifecycle processes.This is a hands-on position that will require you to roll up your sleeves to shepherd ideas from concept through completion, ensuring deliverables are met within scope, within budget, and while upholding the highest standards of quality.Experience with day-to-day project management for both external and internal stakeholders is ideal, however is not required.

While experience will be advantageous, what we’re looking for is the right culture fit. What’s most important is that you’re a fast learner and have the enthusiasm and initiative needed to motivate others.As a technical project manager, you will have a background in software development or engineering, to the level that you are able to ‘talk shop’ with our engineering teams, and understand what they are working on.

What you'll do

    • Serve as the principal, day-to-day point of contact for software projects, collaborating with project, product and engineering managers, and supporting resource allocation, throughput and visibility.
    • Collaborate with partners and internal teams to define project scope, key objectives, project timelines, resourcing, budget and required approvals and reporting. Lead the development of project and strategic plans across our platform, devops, QA, product and engineering teams, and ensure the scope and approach is fully understood by all. 
    • Facilitate and lead project-related meetings, including project kickoffs, recurring reviews, working sessions, post-launch retrospectives and more.Ensure clear and frequent communication throughout the project life cycle including regular status updates, document sharing, meeting recaps, etcIdentify and solve potential roadblocks, proactively communicating risks to key stakeholders.
    • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed.
    • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvementLead overall improvements to our documentation and processes.
    • Support the creation and tracking of our quarterly goals

What we're looking for

    • Ideally some project management and related experience.
    • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
    • Has proven success working in high-speed environments and dealing with ambiguous projects, taking them to clarity. 
    • Experience working with engineers and technical counterparts.
    • Experience building consensus with cross-functional teams internally and externally.
    • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
