The Job
This role is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting instrument and electrical equipment in the plant. You will work closely with instrument/electrical (IE) technicians to resolve issues to maintain production.  

Accountabilities
- Liaise with on-duty shift Manager, supervisors, foremen and instrument/electrical (IE) technicians to resolve/repair any IE issues (after office hours).
- Enforce the LOTO procedure. 
- Train IE technicians on instrument/electrical diagnosis and repair. 
- Supervise the switching of 20kV. 
- Liaise with JIPPE / PLN on all electrical matters. 
- Responsible for monitoring, periodic testing, and maintenance of all transformers and switch gears. 
- Establish and maintain preventive/predictive programs for electrical equipment and in-line analyzers. 
- Owner of the DCS engineering station. 
- Monitor the control and fine tune control loops to achieve smooth operations. 
- Monitor and keep records of individual electrical equipment load.
- Investigate when any equipment electrical load is higher than 70% of max load.  
- Supervise and approve the functional test of all interlocks before plant startup.

Responsibilities

    • Work with IE technicians to achieve high plant reliability. 
    • Serve as center of IE knowledge provider to everyone in the plant.  
    • Collaborate with other departments in plant maintenance activities. 
    • Ensure safe working practices and good housekeeping in all plant areas. 
    • Conduct regular meetings to update the latest IE job status. 
    • Develop, build, and train teams to have a positive attitude and be highly professional. 
    • Ensure all planned training programs are carried out as scheduled. 
    • Develop and implement the STTP (Supervisors Technicians Training Program). 
    • Carry out the annual performance appraisal program.
    • Resolve all personnel conflicts through coaching and counseling. 
    • Participate in fire and safety training. 
    • Communicate and enforce AC’s policies and safety regulations. 
    • Investigate and follow up on all incidents. 
    • Accountable to ensure all work is carried out safely. 
    • Train all IE technicians to safely handle high voltage equipment 

Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
    • Experienced with programming and operating DCS system from manufacturers such as Emerson, Honeywell, and Yokogawa.
    • High level of knowledge and understanding of electricity up to 20 kV, field instrument and DCS.
    • Capable of effectively communicating with others in a language which promotes understanding, commitment, and teamwork.
