Ampd Energy is growing, and we are now seeking for a Senior Quality Manager
to join our Quality team to manage our ever-growing supply base. Quality is our
business and at Ampd we are looking for a high performing Senior Manager to
influence and enable quality to be the centre of everything we do.
To be successful in this role, you need to have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or above in any disciplines pertaining to Science, Technology or Engineering.
- At least 8 years of solid experience in Quality Management with hands on experience in managing and developing suppliers.
- Strong knowledge in APQP, accompanied with implementation experience.
- Strong supplier and/or Contract Manufacturer management experience.
- Hands on and ability to evidence introduction of new technologies into suppliers.
- Solid experience in supplier auditing – ISO/TS 16949/ISO 13485 equivalent.
- Experienced supplier scorecard and development management.
- Ability to drive and manage Key Process and Product characteristics cascade, from robust framework understanding, implementation through poka yoke measures to assurance.
- Problem solving as a second nature with robust 8D methodology knowledge.
- Ability to be a change agent and can evidence through past experiences and exposure.
- Independent and aggressive, ability to influence multiple layers with quality goals in mind.
- Solid written and communication skills in English. Other languages will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge and experience in critical quality tools – APQP, 8D, DMAIC/Six
- Sigma, TQM, CP, FMEAs etc.
- Certified Quality Engineer with ASQ or equivalent.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible to establish required processes for supplier qualification, development and surveillance. You will be required to:
- Develop and implement quality strategies, to ensure quality is embedded from supplier selection to surveillance processes.
- Influence through leading the implementation of Advanced Product Quality
- Planning processes. Where required be the change agent and train suppliers on APQP tools and techniques.
- Develop and implement robust supplier scorecard.
- Lead the reporting of supplier health metrics and own the quality confidence metrics.
- Work hand in hand with cross functional teams to influence supplier selection and requirements.
- Lead investigation with robust containments, corrective actions and preventive actions.
