A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a Severe Weather Program Coordinator to join the team in our Richmond, VA office. Position will be located in the central office of VDOT’s Maintenance Division.
The Severe Weather Program Coordinator will provide support to VDOT's Central Office, Districts, Residencies, and Area Headquarters in relation to Winter Operation programs and systems. Position will Assist with development of policies and procedures related to winter operations, and applicable systems to include quality control matters. Assist in administering emergency operation policies, procedures, contracts, and applications to both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate should have functional and technical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, and Outlook) at a high level of accomplishment.
- Be self-motivated and have experience to work independently to complete multiple assignments within established timelines.
- Experience in independent research, interpret, implement, and monitor policies and programs that aid in the delivery and continuous improvement of the maintenance program.
- Experience in communicating effectively orally and in writing with internal and external customers.
- Experience in working to complete multiple assignments to meet established timelines.
- Experience in working in a team environment.
- Experience in conducting analysis on complex issues and develop analytical reports for a wide range of audiences.
- Skill in the use of computers and software applications.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in analyzing data and database management.
- Experience in a public administered program
- Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Transportation, or related field.
- Equivalent training/education may substitute for degree.
