Amyris is looking for a distinctive senior corporate recruiter who can manage the full recruitment cycle; from assisting hiring managers in defining roles and job descriptions through resume screening, managing selection process and preparation of job offers. We seek a contract recruiter that is a “people person” able to understand the requirements of the candidate and determine fit to Amyris’s culture and embracement of our core values. This position is responsible for providing the highest level of staffing services to Amyris.

Responsibilities

    • You will manage job requisitions; conduct needs assessment with hiring managers, resume reviewing & tracking, create job postings & oversee the posting process
    • You will perform full lifecycle recruiting focusing on building systematic selection processes with controls while ensuring efficiency and a streamlined approach to staffing
    • You will develop and maintain strong working relationships with company leaders, vendors, community organizations, and other team members to create a partnership that yields success and credibility
    • You will develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates, leverage online recruiting resources and in-house ATS to identify and recruit the very best candidates
    • You will create and foster relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and diversity candidates
    • You will conduct training and planning of functional interview teams with an emphasis on our core values
    • You will manage and coordinate all communication with candidates
    • You will interview all candidates presented by hiring managers which includes the use of face-to-face behavioral-based interviewing methodologies
    • You will prepare candidates for interviewing with specific hiring managers by providing detailed information on the company, our business strategy, department background, job descriptions, and expectation-setting
    • You will organize, lead and document post-interview debrief/feedback and post-mortems with interview teams and candidates, as well as scheduling
    • You will extend and negotiate offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring manager and compensation analyst and within the guidelines of compensation philosophy and methodology
    • You will conduct follow-up calls and quality-improvement studies with hiring managers and new hires
    • You will maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring managers interactions, and other recruiting activities to ensure a safe and thorough audit if required
    • Initiates and maintains excellent working relations within the Human Resources organization.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree is desired
    • 8+ plus years of full life-cycle recruitment. 2+ plus years of experience within biotech, chemistry, life sciences highly preferred.
    • Must be detail oriented and possess strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills
    • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
    • Ability to work independently and set individual priorities
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Consultative skills both in-person and on the phone
    • Effective rapport building and relationship management skills
    • Ability to work within a team-based environment
    • Computer literacy including MS Office skills desired
    • Experience working with ATS systems (Lever specifically) is preferred
