Description of Task to be Performed:
AnaVation is seeking a skilled Senior Database Administrator to oversee and optimize our database systems. In this role, you will:
- Manage and maintain databases to ensure optimal data integrity, availability, and performance.
- Perform database tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting to enhance system efficiency.
- Implement and uphold robust database security measures in compliance with industry standards.
- Support the integration of database systems with various tools and applications, ensuring seamless operation.
- Generate detailed reports and conduct data analysis to support and improve operations.
- Design, implement, and maintain moderately complex databases, coordinating changes, and managing database dictionaries.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to protect the databases.
This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI accesses with a polygraph.
This position is on-site with our customer in Washington, DC. After the initial phase of on-site support, there is potential for remote work, subject to customer approval.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Oracle, and other relevant database technologies.
- Experience with database security and encryption techniques.
- Experience with federal databases.
