Description of Task to be Performed:
Come join our growing team and make a difference every day! As part of a high-performing team, the selected candidate will provide a versatile range of computer, networking, and systems engineering support with a focus on cloud technologies, particularly AWS expertise to a mission critical effort.
This position is on-site, with the potential for up to two days per week of remote support with customer permission, in Chantilly, VA.
This position requires a Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain an SCI clearance with a polygraph.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the following areas:
- Ddministering and configuring Linux operating systems, Redhat a plus.
- Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, RDS, Load Balancers, etc)
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of a broad range of computing technologies and providing innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Collaborating closely in Agile development teams for deploying infrastructure and development tools in both local and AWS environments.
- Experience with Python as well as Shell scripting languages, including Bash.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Education : Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Information Systems, or any related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience migrating from physical to cloud solutions.
- Experience with automation and/or configuration management tools (Puppet, CloudFormation, Ansible)
- Experience supporting container hosting and orchestration.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or desire to obtain this certification.
- AWS Certified Developer or desire to obtain this certification.
- AWS Certified DevOps Developer or desire to obtain this certification.
