Renewal by Andersen (RbA) has an exciting opportunity to join a winning, competitive team of Sales Consultants in our NY market! As a Sales Consultant with RbA, you will be surrounded by a highly energized team who is passionate about enriching the lives of our homeowners!
The Design Consultant position is the face of Renewal by Andersen of CNY, representing the Renewal by Andersen® brand, products and services to potential customers. This dynamic position is instrumental in establishing trust, building rapport, and creating lasting connections with customers through in-home appointments. This role is at the forefront of the company’s mission to provide exceptional customer experiences and drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies.

- In-Home Consultations: Conduct in-home appointments with potential customers to understand their needs, showcase our products, and provide tailored solutions.
- Product Knowledge: Become an expert on Renewal by Andersen® products, understanding their features, benefits, and unique selling points. Be prepared to showcase features, benefits, and unique selling points to potential customers.
- Sales Process Management: Navigate the sales process efficiently. Ensuring a seamless customer experience through timely follow-ups and proactive engagement.
- Customer Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, demonstrating a commitment to quality and service. Establish trust and credibility, becoming a reliable point of contact throughout the sales process.
- Target Achievement: Demonstrate a drive and commitment for top results by consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets. Strive for excellence in meeting key performance indicators and sales goals.
- Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics. Leverage this knowledge to position Renewal by Andersen® product as a preferred choice.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing, operations, installation and customer service departments, to ensure a cohesive and customer-centric approach.
- Accuracy and Compliance: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all sales-related paperwork and documentation, including sales orders, contracts, and customer records. Maintain meticulous attention to detail to facilitate seamless order processing, timely deliveries, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Pricing Compliance: Maintain a steadfast commitment to authorized pricing practices and discount approvals to cultivate trust with customers and preserve the integrity of the sales process.

Homeowners can schedule appointments 7 days per week at 10am, 2 pm, or 6 pm. We do require at least 2 Saturdays a month and 3 evening appointments a week. Our consultants are 100% commission based; on average consultants earn an average of $114k a year. During your 5-week training, you will receive $700/week but once training is over, it would move to 100% commission.

Our offices covers Syracuse, NY and its surrounding areas. This role does require you to use your personal vehicle for traveling to appointments.  Many of our Design Consultants will travel over 3,000 miles each month; which we do provide mileage reimbursement for at the rate of 65.5 center per mile. Virtual training options will be discussed in your interview, you will be required to travel to Syracuse weekly for Sales Meetings and additional trainings that may take place after initial training.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
    • Proven 3+ years experience in a sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets, preferably in the home improvement or construction industry.
    • Capability to navigate various applications on an iPad and knowledge of window and door replacement products is a plus.
    • A valid driver’s license and ability to travel and reliable transportation.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate product features and benefits clearly to diverse audiences.
    • A customer-centric approach with a genuine desire to understand and address customer needs, motivated and driven by results.
    • An appreciation for high-end, energy efficient products and strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Proactively seek opportunities for business development and growth.
    • Efficiently prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
    • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer preferences. Flexibility to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
