About Your Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, as a Technical Lead at annalise.ai, you will use your passion for software development to drive the development of breakthrough software products that positively impact patient lives at scale. You will be working with a small team of software engineers and testers to build a core part of our product by navigating through new challenges and producing scalable solutions to meet them. You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy working on initiatives from start to finish in a supportive, flexible team environment.

What you'll do:

    • Be responsible for the technical aspects of the product: technology decisions and choices, vision, architecture, design, development, priorities and velocity
    • Collaborate with the product owner and the design team to work through features from problem statements through to implementation and release
    • Develop and test products to a high standard to ensure they are fit for purpose and meet our internal quality standards
    • Facilitate discussions to produce architecturally-sound engineering solutions by working closely with the architecture team
    • Work hand in hand with the engineering manager to ensure that the team is adequately staffed and that the engineers are set to work on tasks that best match their skills sets and skills levels
    • Be the technical expert that the team and others can go to for guidance, particularly in the front-end space, and be responsible for the delivery of the development team

What we're looking for:

    • Demonstrated ability to lead a software development team
    • You are a catalyst, seeking to build consensus within your team and show them that you are available and willing to help remove roadblocks
    • Strong communicator with an ability to effectively work across teams
    • Experience in application architecture and development of complex products
    • Experience developing applications in React, NodeJS, Typescript
    • Experienced with software practices such as CI/CD pipelines, Git flow, and unit-testing

Our first product, the world's most comprehensive AI clinical decision-support solution for chest x-rays, is already in made available to 1 in 4 radiologists in Australia and rolling out to hundreds more. This solution is capable of detecting 124 findings and was recently featured in peer-reviewed publication, Lancet Digital Health journal.
