Job Description:
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, documenting, and finalizing projects according to project scope, strict deadlines, and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members across multiple departments to deliver projects according to plan and working external with customer project managers when needed. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Duties & Responsibilities:
o Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
o Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
o Identify and communicate project risks.
o Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
o Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
o Effectively communicate project plans and expectations and ongoing status to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
o Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
o Continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
o Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
o Track project milestones and deliverables.
o Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
o Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
o Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans, keeping stakeholders informed.
o Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
o Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
o Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
o Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
o Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in Security Software deployment for Enterprise level customers.
o Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
o Proven experience in project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
o Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices. Proficiency with Jira is required and experience with Confluence is preferred.
o Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
o Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
o Ability to read communication styles of team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
o Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
o Adaptable, detail oriented, and able to make decisions swiftly.
o Manages time effectively.
o Requires high EQ and ability to negotiate and deal effectively with conflict resolution.
o Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
o Strong written and oral communication skills.
o Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
o Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
o Customer service skills an asset.
o Travel – approx. 25% ( local and international as needed)
