About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organized and proactive Part-time Temporary Office Manager to oversee our Columbus office and ensure smooth operations, a positive work environment, and a seamless experience for both team members and guests. You will play a key role in creating an efficient, welcoming, and well-supported workplace where our team can thrive.

What You’ll Do:

Office Operations & Facilities Management

    • Manage day-to-day office operations to create an organized, collaborative, and efficient workplace.
    • Oversee office facilities, equipment, and vendor relationships (including scheduling maintenance and improvement projects).
    • Track and manage office budgets, expenses, and reporting.
    • Maintain office inventory, placing orders and restocking supplies as needed.
    • Administer building access, parking permits, and security badges for employees.
    • Create and supervise systems to maintain the assets in our on-site storage units.
    • Support fleet management for company vehicles (usage tracking, maintenance, and licensing).

Employee Experience & Engagement

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for office communications, updates, and announcements.
    • Organize and coordinate staff engagement activities (team lunches, happy hours, holiday events, and offsite gatherings).
    • Greet and assist visitors, clients, and couriers, ensuring a welcoming office environment.

Onboarding & IT Coordination

    • Set up and troubleshoot basic office technology.
    • Collaborate with IT to ensure smooth onboarding and technology setup for new hires.

Event & Guest Coordination

    • Coordinate schedules for visiting business partners and leadership events.
    • Manage catering and logistics to ensure smooth and well-organized visits and meetings.
    • Set up and arrange meeting rooms and physical spaces to create a welcoming, professional environment.

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
    • Someone who loves to host and create memorable experiences with creativity, thoughtfulness, and intentionality.
    • Proven experience in office management or administrative coordination.
    • Comfortable setting up and troubleshooting basic office technology.
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management).
    • Experience in engineering, renewable energy, or a similar professional services environment is a plus.
    • Secondary education is preferred but not required.
$25 - $30 an hour
