We are seeking a motivated and driven Mid-level Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in our NJ office. ANS is a rapidly growing, emerging civil engineering firm focusing on civil, geotechnical, structural, and electrical engineering for renewable energy and infrastructure projects across the US.
“MUST-HAVE” PROFILE OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE INCLUDE:
- BS in Civil Engineering, Geology, or related degree
- Valid US Drivers License, and a reliable means of transportation
- Flexibility and willingness to travel, on occasion, and for multiple consecutive days periods of times (est. up to one week at a time, once per month)
- Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to find solutions to problems, and get-it-done attitude!
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Minimum 3 years of experience in consulting engineering, or related field
- Experience in preparing Engineering Reports with strong technical writing skills
- Experience with working within and leading team environments
- Working knowledge of geotechnical principles and engineering design
“NICE-TO-HAVE” SKILLS FOR THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MAY INCLUDE:
- Technical licensure track including EIT, GIT, PE, PG, PMP, or similar.
- Experience in planning, implementing, overseeing, and managing subsurface investigation programs
- Prior experience with geotechnical investigations, including soil borings, rock coring, and material testing
- Experience with design of foundations, support of excavation systems, and preparing reports
- Prior experience with geotechnical software (gINT, GeoStudio, LPILE, ALLPILE, DeepEx, etc.)
- Familiarity with renewable energy sector

- Performing geotechnical field investigations, construction observation, and engineering evaluation and technical analysis
- Preparing technical reports and summaries, and interfacing directly with coworkers, clients, and stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations
- Completing technical analyses, including foundation design, support of excavation, and other engineering evaluations
