We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Water team.

Duties & Responsibilities

    • Overseeing the inspection of all aspects of construction through project completion. Interprets plans, specifications, and codes and verifies contract work is performed in accordance with all applicable governing codes and regulations.
    • Schedule, prepare agendas, meeting minutes and conduct pre-bid meetings, pre-construction meetings, weekly coordination meetings with contractors, engineers and residents.
    • Supervise the work of the project construction inspector(s), geotechnical and material testing technicians(s). Review inspector’s daily reports and photographs and provide copies on a weekly basis to clients.
    • Ability to review construction schedules and identify critical path activities and make recommendation on revisions to critical path activities to ensure that the project schedule has the proper sequencing and properly allotted time to each construction activity to ensure the project is constructed within schedule.
    • Ability to review construction cost estimates, budgets, and determine if construction costs are accurate per industry standard labor rates, material costs and equipment costs.
    • Ability to manage construction documents utilizing various construction management software such as Procore.
    • Monitors construction sites for safety violations. Reviews and approves Non-Conformance Reports when work is not performed to the approved standards.  Ensures that daily activity logs and reports with photographs, are maintained according to the record keeping requirements of the project 
    • Review or prepare interim progress reports for contractor payments. Monitors contractor-testing activities. Review or Prepares reports on labor, material, and equipment on site. Determines construction conforms to plans and specifications and that the project is on schedule and within budget. Identify construction sequencing issues and make recommendations on expediting construction to complete the project according to the approved construction schedule.
    • Conducts quality surveillance of specific quality related activities as necessary. Assist in maintaining, supporting, and promoting a safe work environment while complying with industry standard safety rules, policies, and procedures.
    • Oversee or Provide Construction Safety and Security field services, as directed, including but not limited to Site Safety and Security Reviews including for Construction Equipment, Personnel, Work Procedures and Traffic Control.
    • Coordinate preparation of inspection survey reports, cost estimates and maintenance records. Timely submittals of these reports and records.
    • Arranges, coordinates and oversees technical inspections such as electrical, landscaping, soil testing, concrete, and asphalt mixes, and reinforcing steel for conformance to specification requirements.
    • Ability to assist the Geotechnical Engineer or the Engineering Management Support Services Contractor in the collecting, interpreting, analyzing and presenting geotechnical and survey monitoring data.
    • Coordinates laboratory activities and compares verifications test results with result from Contractor's laboratory.
    • May allocate inspection resources and supervise inspectors also qualified to meet the duties above

Required Qualifications & Education

    • Approximately ten (10) years of field experience on water/wastewater construction projects, construction projects for the appropriate disciplines including utilities, geotechnical, civil roadway, structural, electrical and communications.
    • Valid California Class C driver's license.
    • Able to obtain Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30-hour training certification prior to work.
$145,000 - $165,000 a year
