QA/QC Field Inspectors

Observes and inspects construction work performed by contractors. Performs punch list inspections, reviews drawings and specifications and other technical documents, prepares detailed daily activity and progress reports and participates in project schedule and contractor invoice reviews. Reviews submittals and other construction documents.

Duties & Responsibilities

    • Fulfill requirement for continuous quality assurance inspection of all construction/renovation for projects in all facilities. Quality Assurance (QA).
    • Validate the compliance with appropriate building codes and standards, approved construction documents, and ensures construction quality.
    • Conduct detailed construction oversight validating design intent, building quality, soundness of construction and durability expectations, as well as building maintenance and operational considerations.
    • Provide daily site inspection reports to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications and codes.
    • Coordinate in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers and regulatory agencies.
    • Monitors and documents contractor resource utilization (labor, materials and equipment) for field changes, and time and material work.
    • Regularly attend and participate in construction meetings, safety meetings/updates and project site coordination meetings.
    • Verify equipment and materials installation.
    • Measure and record pay quantities.
    • Review the contractor's schedule.
    • Coordinate 3rd-party special material testing inspections.
    • Review and provide input on potential change order issues.
    • Maintain a daily report of all work site activities.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Requirements

    • Knowledgeable of OSHA construction safety requirements.
    • Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification or equal is preferred.
    • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • In lieu of a degree, the candidate must have at least 5 years of construction-related experience.
    • Compliance with Anser vehicle policy is required or be willing to travel to various project areas as needed
    • Possess solid negotiation and interpersonal skills

    • Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to problems, along with a high level of math aptitude.
    • Ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
