As a Planner for Data Center Construction Projects, you will serve as our client’s representative and be responsible for overseeing and advising on all aspects of planning and scheduling construction projects from project inception to completion.  Travel required 20-50% of time.

Duties & Responsibilities

    • Participating in all phases of the construction planning & scheduling process, including the creation of schedules, baseline schedule and ongoing schedule updates in (Primavera P6).
    • Work collaboratively with project team, Architect, Engineers, General Contractor (GC), Trades, Client owners and other Stakeholders applying construction sequencing expertise to appropriately sequence pre-construction and construction activities, building an optimized critical path schedule in Primavera (P6) reflecting the client’s vision, goals and key milestones.
    • Lead project schedule review meeting with project team, client, GC and other stakeholders to update schedule reflecting the most up-to-date project/construction information.
    • Visit job sites to review job status, drafting, updating and reviewing project schedules, and driving adherence to pre-set project timelines.
    • Develop reports to provide advice to client including early warning of schedule slips affecting the critical path.
    • Participate in project team meetings including financial forecasting session to ensure schedule and cost alignment.
    • Perform workload impact analysis and forecast needs for internal and external resources.
    • Performs schedule reviews to ensure effective and efficient best practices for scheduling are utilized.
    • Practice diplomacy in communicating review comments to the project team.
    • Participates in job pre-construction meetings, construction meetings, risk management meetings and monthly project status review meetings as well as other critical project meetings and workshops.
    • Participate in firm thought leadership and stay current on construction planning best practices and research.

Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field/experience
    • 1+ years planning and scheduling experience in data center construction.
    • Highly proficient in using Primavera P6 software.
    • Strong understanding of construction and engineering throughout project phases
    • Strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) disciplines
