Role Profile

Hudson’s Bay Corp (HBC) is coming to India! We are in the process of setting up an integrated Global InHouse Center, (GIC), in Bangalore to build a corporate team who will play an important role as HBC executes its strategic plan. This center will house approximately 450 highly talented individuals in the first two years and the office has potential to expand as the business grows. We will begin to build our team in Bangalore focused on Information Technology, Information Security, Finance and Accounting, and may then scale the operations to build capabilities in various other functions.

Reporting Relationships: 
The Director – Procure-to-Pay is a leadership role within the HBC Finance & Accounting team reporting to the Divisional Vice President Finance, HBC India. 
Major Responsibilities 
The Director – Procure-to-Pay has overall responsibility for the management and direction of the service delivery within HBC in support of HBC’s Accounts Payable (Merchandise / Expense / Capital) functions as well as related payables teams supporting Travel expenditure processing / Corporate Cards and Gross Margin / Stock Ledger. The position will provide management and oversight over the Payables processing teams and will be key point of contact for process owners to review service performance and will act as the escalation point for any issues.  This role must demonstrate a high degree of customer orientation to meet the needs of internal customers / business partners. This role will also form an integral part of the HBC Finance team in providing insights into building out a successful operation. 
Primary Role responsibilities include:  
 Provide management direction and leadership to the Procure-to-Pay teams to ensure all activities are performed in a timely manner and in full compliance with HBC policies and procedures  Lead the Service Delivery / Execution for the Procure-to-Pay function and sub processes (Merchandise Payable, Expense/Capital Payables, Vendor Relations, Vendor Control, Travel & Corporate Cads, Gross Margin / Stock Ledger)  Support cost leadership and ensure key performance indicators (Quality, Time, Cost of Delivery) are within targeted service standards  Review and report daily processing targets and address any service delivery issues 

 Consistently monitor key performance parameters of the process and identify and implement new ways to improve the quality of work as well as work processes  Work with Procure-to-Pay stakeholders within the onshore teams to optimize the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes across HBC  Support the integration of a range of IT system platforms, processes, stakeholder, and vendor relationships related to payments processing  Develop and grow strong relationships and communications internally and externally to ensure alignment of expectations and to develop efficiencies where possible  Manage and Lead HBC resources to support Procure-to-Pay activities including:  Merchandise Payables  Expense / Capital Payables  Vendor Relations  Vendor Control  Travel & Corporate Card  Gross Martin / Cost Ledger   Support effort in building a high performing team and implement strategies to retain talent  Trains, coaches, mentors and directs the work of direct reports. 
Personal Characteristics 
The successful candidate must be a proactive self-starter with a dynamic and resilient nature able to work and lead in a fast-paced. He/she will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to engage with stakeholders across the business and provide critical input to business teams. This individual will have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with strict adherence to deadlines. 
Professional Qualifications 
 Strong financial aptitude with minimum 15 years of work experience in Corporate Finance with MNCs/GICs, with preference to Retail industry focused on Procure-to-Pay functions  Minimum 10 years supervisory / people management experience  Experience in Oracle ERP (Oracle Fusion Preferred) and Procurement systems, Ariba preferred  Strong proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)  Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement methodology (Black belt preferred)  Demonstrated expertise in design and implementation of financial processes and technology   Demonstrated success in leading and directing multi-functional business units  Strong working experience in Sales Audit and Bankcard processes 
Educational Credentials 
MBA Finance  Chartered Accountant

This role will be expected to work a “North American” shift pattern, approximately 4PM – 2AM IST
