ANYbotics is a fast-growing tech company dedicated to shaping the future of mobile robotics across multiple industries. Join our highly talented and motivated team of more than 190 people and work on cutting-edge robot technology.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a 6-months intern to join our development A-team as of October 2025. In this internship, you will work within the applications team on cutting-edge robot inspection methodologies, which offers you the possibility to create new capabilities and direct value to our customers.
We ensure that our robots deliver the expected inspection value from the sensors integrated on the platform during our autonomous mission rounds.
The Market & Our Technology
ANYbotics transforms industrial plants in the energy, process, and utility sector by introducing robotics to a wide range of novel applications that so far were beyond reach. Our customers are large asset operators and industrial service providers pioneering the use of robotics technology for inspection and maintenance. Our mobile robot ANYmal uses legs for extreme mobility in complex environments, camera- and LIDAR-based sensing for full autonomy and obstacle avoidance, and AI for high-quality and consistent inspection results. We develop numerous customized hardware systems, including the entire robotic platform, actuators, sensors, inspection payloads, charging systems, and all related ANYbotics electrical hardware.
Your Contributions
- Research, design, and prototype novel applications of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision Language Models (VLMs) to support autonomous industrial inspection workflows (e.g., anomaly explanation, report generation, or multi-modal data interpretation).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LLM-based image analysis and interaction capabilities into our ANYmal robots for enhanced inspection intelligence.
- Support the development and evaluation of LLM-powered tools through simulation, testing, and user validation.
Your Profile
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field.
- Programming experience (preferably Python and/or C++) with interest in real-time
- Familiarity with modern LLM frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face Transformers), Vision Transformers, and prompt engineering principles.
- Basic understanding of robotics systems and multi-modal sensor data is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in an applied research-driven team environment, with a proactive and analytical mindset.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Bonus Points
- Experience with cloud-based solutions.
- Experience in robotics or hardware products.
- Experience with Restful APIs.
Please note that we are only able to consider applications from Students enrolled in a Swiss University who reside in Switzerland.
We offer you a very exciting and dynamic work environment, the opportunity to become part of a fast-growing company and an ambitious team that is on a mission to change the industrial inspection market, a chance to leverage your experience and bring in your own ideas, a fair market salary, an attractive employee stock ownership plan, and a job in the city of Zurich.
