Summary:
We’re looking for a Director, Product Management with deep free-to-play (F2P) gaming expertise to guide the future of our flagship product, ABCmouse. In this high-impact role, you’ll partner closely with our Senior team to manage the roadmap of the product and answer the important question of what to build next, and why.
You’ll bring together market intelligence, data analysis, your experience with other digital entertainment products, and product vision to define our roadmap and help take the product to new levels of success. This is a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of our education product and have your strategic vision impact millions of children worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Define product strategy and recommend what features, games, and experiences to pursue next.
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and player behavior to uncover opportunities.
- Run queries, generate insights, and turn data into strategy.
- Develop and present strong, data-backed business cases for investment.
- Champion free-to-play best practices, including monetization and live-service design.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, analytics, and engineering teams.
- Lead A/B testing, optimization, and benchmarking to drive engagement and retention.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership with clarity and influence.
- Mentor and develop product managers by sharing best practices in product strategy, free-to-play mechanics, and data-driven decision-making.
- Provide guidance and coaching to other product managers, helping elevate the team’s strategic thinking and analytical approach.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years in product strategy or product management, with a strong background in F2P/live-service gaming.
- Proven success in scaling, monetizing and optimizing free-to-play games.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to run queries (SQL, BI tools, Excel/Sheets).
- Experience with A/B and multivariate testing and applying results to live products.
- Strong business capabilities – experience designing and fine tuning the customer experience by making structured, hypothesis-driven product improvements.
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional disciplines and influence effectively, preferably in an agile environment.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills at all levels.
- Passion for children’s education, games, player engagement, and innovation in digital learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Total Compensation:
The estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $180,000 USD to $240,000 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
