We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supplier Development Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, quality assurance, and supplier management. This role is critical to ensuring that our suppliers meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance, ultimately contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

    • Supplier Evaluation and Selection: Assess potential suppliers based on their capabilities, capacity, quality systems, and performance history. Conduct on-site audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
    • Supplier Performance Management: Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, and cost. Develop and implement supplier performance improvement plans, including corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Technical Support and Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to resolve technical issues and provide engineering support. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and procurement to ensure alignment on specifications, requirements, and expectations.
    • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure suppliers adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any quality issues. Develop and maintain supplier quality manuals and documentation.
    • Project Management: Lead supplier development projects including new product  introductions, process improvements, and cost reduction initiatives. Manage project  timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion.
    • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance and supply chain disruptions.

Requirements:

    • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or related field).
    • 3+ years of experience in supplier development, quality assurance, or supply chain management.
    • Proven experience with supplier evaluation, audits, and performance management.
    • Knowledge of quality systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
    • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
    • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
