We're looking for a People Operations Specialist who’s passionate about ensuring the smooth delivery of foundational People programs across the employee lifecycle. In this role, you’ll help build the scaffolding for an amazing employee experience by executing high-quality onboarding, benefits, HRIS management, leave tracking, and vendor coordination, supporting employees globally and cross-functionally.

What you’ll do

    • Execute onboarding workflows: background checks, EOR coordination, IT logistics, HRIS setup, and contractor onboarding as needed
    • Facilitate new hire orientation and maintain onboarding materials
    • Coordinate offboarding logistics: final pay, COBRA, severance documentation, bonus clawbacks, and stakeholder notifications
    • Maintain accurate HRIS data entry and document uploads; migrate historical documents to RipplingManage LOA cases, including tracking, comms, Sparrow coordination, and state disability filings
    • Administer benefits processes including enrollments, QLEs, COBRA, UK support, and holiday/time off policies
    • Maintain benefits platform integrations and file syncs with carriers and vendors
    • Track benefit compliance filings (ACA, 5500, etc) and manage escalations with vendors
    • Respond to employee and manager questions across Slack, Jira, and email;
    • Maintain internal FAQs
    • Support international EOR employees with time off and LOA coordination by country
    • Maintain HR documentation: policy updates, offer letters, postings, version control
    • Assist with urgent HR ops tasks (e.g., verifications, cross-functional programs, audit support)
    • Coordinate guest access and vendor communications related to the SF office (e.g., Galvanize, keyfobs)

Who you are

    • Meticulous executor with a bias for ownership and follow-through
    • Collaborative and responsive partner across People, Legal, IT, and Finance
    • Comfortable juggling process detail and vendor relationship management
    • Able to manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
    • Technically savvy and eager to simplify manual workflows where possible

Minimum requirements

    • 3–5 years of experience in People Operations, Benefits, or related HR coordination roles
    • Proficiency in Rippling or similar HRIS platforms
    • Experience with benefits systems, LOA administration, and compliance documentation
    • Familiarity with global EOR vendors and international employment nuances
    • Strong communication and task management skills using Slack, Jira, and G Suite

Nice to have

    • Experience supporting international employees via EOR platforms (e.g., Plane, Remote, Deel)
    • Familiarity with configuring workflows or custom fields in HRIS platforms like Rippling
    • Comfort managing employee data, auditing for accuracy, and creating reports to support compliance or planning
    • Exposure to compliance filings such as EEO-1, ACA, or I-9 audits
    • A process improvement mindset - you're always looking for ways to simplify and streamline
