Associate AI Project Specialists (AAIPS) form part of a project delivery team responsible for executing projects using
Appen’s crowd management, data collection and annotation systems and processes. The AAIPS customizes participant
instructions based on project specific needs, assigns tasks to participants, communicates with participants, monitors throughput, performs and manages quality assurance and schedules payments. AAIPS works collaboratively with Project Managers, Data Collection teams, Linguists and other Specialists to meet project and client requirements.
 
As part of the Major Accounts Delivery team you will specialize in project delivery for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large
Language Model (LLM) use-cases for leading tech and AI companies globally. Major Accounts Delivery is an international
team with hubs in APAC, EMEA + India and the USA.
 
This role is 100% remote home-office based and will be part of our Philippines based team. The role will be offered on a permanent ongoing basis. The shift expectation for this role is USA business hours (start times of 21:00-00:00 PHST). Positions are available for Thursday to Monday and Monday to Friday work weeks.

Job Description

    • Project Management
    • Use Appen’s crowd management, data collection and annotation tools to execute AI, LLM and ML projects in diverse modalities including Data collection (e.g. audio, text, images, videos), Relevance (search, social media, and e-commerce evaluation; content annotation) and LLM/text annotation projects.
    • Deliver to project objectives within area of responsibility to project scope, timeline and budget
    • Communicate, with all stakeholders, in a timely, clear, and concise manner across multiple time zones.
    • Adapt to changing project needs and expectations
    • Be a proactive team member, contributing solutions and helping others as necessary as part of a project team.
    • Communication
    • Send high quality bulk communications to a large audience to encourage participants to take part in our projects (e.g. speech recordings, video submissions, annotate data)
    • Lead live or recorded training sessions for large groups of participants as needed
    • Respond to participant individual queries
    • Create FAQs to reply to the most common questions asked by our projects’ participants
    • Ability to create structured, concise and attractive documentation.
    • Project Administration 
    • Set up and oversee contributor payments to strong analytical skills and an unwavering focus on precision and accuracy.
    • Create and continuously improve the projects’ guidelines to ensure participants do the task according to our client’s requirements.
    • Follow strict confidentiality protocol regulating the handling of project and participant details and other sensitive information
    • Data analysis
    • Maintain project trackers, monitor key project metrics and provide project reports as required
    • Analyze project performance and proactively take appropriate actions (with guidance from Specialists or Project Manager)
    • Provide regular project status reporting and in-depth analysis when required

Qualifications and Experience

    • Experience in creating and sending mass communication to an international audience/creating marketing content/newsletter
    • 1-2 year of project management experience in a metric-driven setting working in a production, operation, or call center environment is desired. Alternatively, experience in marketing or communication.
    • Experience with stakeholder management in a project-based environment.
    • Demonstrated efficient time management and organizational skills
    • BS or BA degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Proficient and experienced in using Excel (create basic formulas, pivot tables, create reports)
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools - Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ideally, some experience using Salesforce.
    • Commitment to quality (being able to follow processes and contribute to their improvements)
    • Agility and a service orientated approach
    • Ability to pick up new tools and systems quickly
    • Can multitask and work even under pressure
    • High attention to details to deliver projects with precision and accuracy
    • Proficiency in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills
