As an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Admin/Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of identity and access management solutions within the organization. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that access to systems, applications, and data is secure, compliant, and aligned with business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of IAM principles, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.

Key Responsibilities

    • Implementation and Configuration: Deploy and configure IAM solutions such as identity lifecycle management, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), privileged access management (PAM), and role-based access control (RBAC) systems.
    • User Provisioning and De-provisioning: Manage the lifecycle of user accounts, including onboarding, offboarding, and access modifications. Ensure timely and accurate provisioning and de-provisioning of user accounts based on HR processes and business requirements.
    • Access Control Policies: Develop and enforce access control policies to govern user access to systems, applications, and data. Regularly review and update access control lists, permissions, and entitlements to minimize security risks.
    • Identity Governance: Implement identity governance processes and tools to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Monitor user access rights and privileges to detect and mitigate unauthorized access attempts.
    • Incident Response: Actively participate in incident response activities related to IAM, including investigating security incidents, analyzing access logs, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

    • Integration and Automation: Integrate IAM solutions with other IT systems, such as directory services, HR systems, and IT service management (ITSM) platforms. Develop scripts and workflows to automate routine IAM tasks and streamline processes.
    • Security Audits and Compliance: Conduct regular security audits and assessments of IAM controls to identify vulnerabilities, gaps, and areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and industry-specific regulations.
    • Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation, including IAM policies, procedures, and technical guides. Provide training and guidance to end-users and IT staff on IAM best practices, security awareness, and compliance requirements.
    • Vendor Management: Collaborate with IAM vendors and service providers to evaluate new technologies, troubleshoot issues, and implement product upgrades. Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure quality of service and value for money.

Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on experience in IAM space
    • Proven experience in implementing and supporting IAM solutions in enterprise environments.
    • Strong knowledge of IAM concepts, technologies, and standards, such as LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, PKI, and X.509.
    • Hands-on experience with IAM platforms and tools, such as Microsoft Azure AD, Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk, Ping Identity, or similar.
    • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
    • Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance requirements, and best practices (e.g., SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA).
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex IAM issues and identify root causes.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or vendor specific IAM certifications are a plus.
