We are looking for engineers excited to work on challenging autonomous driving problems with top AV programs. Our software engineers work across our suite of products, tackling difficult full-stack, infrastructure, robotics, and graphics problems. At Applied, we encourage engineers to take ownership over technical and product decisions, closely interact with users to collect feedback, and contribute to a thoughtful, dynamic team culture. In this role, the engineer will be working with customers regularly (including on-site) and developing additional features/capabilities as required in the platform.

We’re looking for someone who:

    • Has 2+ years experience in shipping complex software
    • Is a self-starter and can quickly become comfortable with new technical tools
    • Interested in working closely with customers and iterating fast on solutions
    • Designs efficient and effective solutions to a wide range of engineering challenges
    • Takes initiative in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

    • Working knowledge of frontend, API layer, containerization, or cluster orchestration frameworks (such as React, GraphQL, Docker, or Kubernetes)
    • Prior experience in customer interaction as a customer engineer, applications engineer, or sales engineer
    • Experience working with simulation tools, modeling physical problems, or using robotics middlewares (such as ROS)
    • Has experience writing Python, C++, or JavaScript
