We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to design and build tangible and functional prototypes and products.  The ideal candidate will help lead efforts in design, engineering and fabrication of prototypes, models, and finished assemblies.

Responsibilities

    • Mechanical Systems Design
    • Structural design and analysis
    • Electromechanical design
    • Mechanism design
    • Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and servomotor actuation
    • Development for Fabrication
    • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

    • 10 plus years of applicable design work experience
    • BS degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
    • Demonstrated experience designing mechanisms and actuation
    • Demonstrated design, engineering and CAD modeling skills with the ability to transfer designs to effective production techniques
    • Mechanical design and production experience in at least one, and preferably more of the following industries:  automotive, race car design, off-highway equipment, entertainment, theme parks, aerospace, medical, and consumer products
    • Demonstrated hands on experience in mechanical design, electrical and electronics integration in mechanical systems, prototyping, fabrication, and creating finished high performance systems
    • Design for manufacturing and prototype development
    • Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members from very diverse disciplines
    • Advanced materials applications and manufacturing experience including high performance materials, composites and engineering plastics
    • Comfortable and effective working in a fast paced, rapid prototyping and development environment, with highly creative design teams
We are committed to fair and equitable compensation for all employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected base annual salary range for this role is between $150k to $165k annually. Actual compensation will vary depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
