We are seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop novel, collaborative information management system architecture. This individual will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team consisting of end-users, UI/UX designers, graphic designers, scientists, and subject matter experts, and will be involved in a wide variety of applications, languages, and diverse types of projects including:

Embedded Systems: Board, bring up, and control a proof of concept device
Reverse Engineering: Figuring out how things work so you can replicate and/or repurpose
FPGA: Create video encoding and stream sensor data
SDR; Full-Stack Web: Develop modern single page apps
Big Data: Data integration of disparate data feeds
Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence


    • Designing software system architecture
    • Data modeling
    • Providing technical leadership and initiative
    • Application Design
    • Solving complex mathematical problems
    • Engineering robust test plans
    • Rapid prototyping and iteration to meet customers' goals
    • Ensuring and monitoring system performance
    • Assessing new technologies and making tech stack recommendations


    • Possess a cross-disciplinary mindset and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a highly creative and cross-disciplinary team
    • Experience contributing across all phases of a software project lifecycle
    • Experience working on the command line
    • Experience using logic analyzer/scope and other EE tools
    • Experience with relational, graph, or NoSQL databases
    • Proficient with one or more of the following: JavaScript/NodeJS, Python, C++, Go or Rust
    • Comfortable with version control systems like git or Hg

The following skills are a plus

    • MongoDB, Neo4J, SQL, Cassandra, Spark
    • WindRiver, µC/OS, FreeRTOS
    • Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Ansible, SaltStack, AWS, Azure
    • Aterra, Verilog, Xilinx vivado
    • Ida Pro, Ghidra, Radara2, Kali, WireShark
    • Scipy, Jupyter, NodeJS, ZeroMQ, Protobuf, Pipenv
    • Knowledge of HTML and CSS
    • Knowledge of common front-end frameworks (Vue, React)
    • Knowledge of 3D engines (Unreal, Unity, Babylon, Godot)
    • Knowledge of human computer interaction and user interface design
    • Having a Top Secret security clearance or being eligible to obtain one
We are committed to fair and equitable compensation for all employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected base annual salary range for this role is between $145k and $165k annually. Actual compensation will vary depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
