About the role:
- We are looking for a hands-on Product Manager to join the AppZen Accounts Payable Automation (AAP) product team. You’ll work closely with the Product Management Team, engineering, data science, product implementation, customer success, and sales teams — as well as directly with our customers — to deliver features that make finance operations faster, smarter, and more user-friendly. While your primary focus will be on product management fundamentals — requirements gathering, backlog management, product delivery and product — the role will also benefit from basic skills in creating mock-ups and prototypes to better communicate requirements and user flows.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with the Product Management team to refine AAP’s product vision, roadmap, and priorities.
- Gather requirements from internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring they are clear, actionable, and tied to business value.
- Create simple mock-ups or wireframes to clarify requirements for engineering and design teams when needed.
- Analyse user feedback, usage data, and finance process KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria that development teams can execute on without ambiguity.
- Participate in grooming, sprint planning, and feature reviews to ensure delivery matches vision.
- Support product launches, customer communications, and training material preparation.
- Help track feature adoption and outcomes post-launch, iterating as needed.
What Will Make You Successful Here
- 2-3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a similar role in a B2B SaaS company.
- Working knowledge of finance operations — especially procurement, invoicing, or accounts payable or account receivable or similar — is a plus.
- Ability to create clear, simple product mock-ups or flows using tools like Figma/Gen AI tools (preferred, not mandatory).
- Basic understanding of AI-powered or data-driven product capabilities is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with data to inform decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with a bias for action, comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field preferred.
