The Arbitrum Foundation is an organisation based in the Cayman Islands that is tasked with developing and nurturing the Arbitrum ecosystem. This includes Arbitrum One, an Optimistic Rollup, that instantly scales apps, reducing costs and increasing capacity, without sacrificing Ethereum's security and Arbitrum Nova, which allows for ultra-low cost fees by leveraging AnyTrust technology making it ideal for Social and Gaming applications.

Arbitrum today is the leading Ethereum scaling solution with dominant market share including hundreds of apps on the platform and over 50% of all rollup liquidity. 

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Grants Manager to oversee our grant programs and initiatives. The Grants Manager will be responsible for managing the entire grants lifecycle, from soliciting and reviewing grant proposals to monitoring grant progress and outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting innovative projects in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space.

Responsibilities

    • Develop and Manage Grant Programs: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop grant programs aligned with the organization's mission and strategic objectives.
    • Solicit and Review Grant Proposals: Work closely with the grants committee to solicit grant proposals, review submissions, and evaluate proposals based on predefined criteria.
    • Manage Grant Selection Process: Coordinate the grant selection process, including organizing review meetings, facilitating discussions, and making recommendations for grant awards.
    • Negotiate and Execute Grant Agreements: Work with grant recipients to negotiate and execute grant agreements, ensuring compliance with grant terms and conditions.
    • Monitor Grant Progress: Monitor grant progress and outcomes, including reviewing interim and final reports, tracking project milestones, and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
    • Provide Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance and support to grant recipients as needed, including guidance on project implementation, budget management, and reporting requirements.
    • Maintain Grant Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of grant activities, including grant agreements, payment schedules, and reporting documents.

Desired Background

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, nonprofit management, or public administration.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
    • Knowledge of grantmaking best practices, including grant proposal development, review processes, and compliance requirements.
    • Familiarity with the blockchain and cryptocurrency is must
