Your Role
We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Head of Strategy to further cement the Arbitrum Foundation as the dominant Ethereum L2 scaling solution. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of blockchain technology and steer the strategic direction of a pioneering organization. Reporting to the Foundation’s board, the successful candidate will be responsible for setting a strategic agenda, identifying and executing against strategic opportunities, and working cross-functionally to grow the Arbitrum ecosystem.
Your Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and articulate a compelling vision and strategy for the Arbitrum Foundation, ensuring alignment with our mission and values. Lead the organization in identifying and pursuing strategic opportunities that drive growth and innovation for the Arbitrum and broader Ethereum ecosystem.
- Execution and Performance: Oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives. Ensure operational excellence and the achievement of key performance indicators. Foster a results-oriented culture that prioritizes accountability and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, key opinion leaders, and the broader blockchain community. Serve as the public face of the Arbitrum Foundation, representing our interests and advocating for our vision.
- Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Promote a culture of collaboration, excellence, diversity, and inclusion.
- Innovation and Growth: Drive innovation by staying ahead of industry trends and identifying emerging opportunities. Foster a culture of creativity and experimentation. Lead efforts to expand our ecosystem.
What You'll Need
- Proven experience in a senior strategic leadership role, preferably within the blockchain or technology sectors; knows how to lead people, articulate a vision, define a strategy and deliver results
- Comfortable and confident working in a small organization with limited resources and large ambition; able to adapt and drive results without the support systems of a large, established company or institution
- Deep understanding of blockchain technology, Ethereum, and the broader decentralized finance ecosystem; can speak with authority on the technology and the broader competitive landscape.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong track record of driving growth and innovation within a complex and fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders; can work constructively with the media and have an ease with public speaking
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
- Experience working with policy makers and regulators is a plus; at a minimum, bring a degree of gravitas that facilitates such discussions
- Ability to articulate a business strategy and its dependencies on product/technology and collaborate with technical stakeholders accordingly
