The Arbitrum Foundation is an organisation based in the Cayman Islands that is tasked with developing and nurturing the Arbitrum ecosystem. This includes Arbitrum One, an Optimistic Rollup, that instantly scales apps, reducing costs and increasing capacity, without sacrificing Ethereum's security and Arbitrum Nova, which allows for ultra-low cost fees by leveraging AnyTrust technology making it ideal for Social and Gaming applications.

Arbitrum today is the leading Ethereum scaling solution with dominant market share including hundreds of apps on the platform and over 50% of all rollup liquidity. 

The Arbitrum Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our dynamic team. As a Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing external engineering teams, as well as handling internal technology demands to ensure the smooth functioning of the Arbitrum ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of engineering principles, particularly within the realm of blockchain technology, and will have a proven track record of delivering successful technological products at scale.

Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate closely with technical providers to the Arbitrum Foundation, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
    • Engage and manage external engineering teams tasked with delivering technology solutions to enhance the Arbitrum ecosystem, including setting clear expectations, providing guidance, and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
    • Handle internal technology demands for the Foundation, including but not limited to infrastructure management, tooling, and support for various technical initiatives.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert for technical-related matters within the Foundation, providing insights, guidance, and solutions to complex problems.
    • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in all technical endeavour's.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for technical innovation and efficiency improvements within the Arbitrum ecosystem.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

    • Experience in engineering and blockchain technology
    • Proficiency in computer science fundamentals, acquired through either a formal university program or self-learning, with a demonstrated ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage at all levels of the organization.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high degree of adaptability and resilience to change.
