A Bit About Us:
We are Arcadia Science. Arcadia is a science company founded and led by scientists. Our mission is to transform evolutionary innovations into real-world solutions by openly developing more efficient, replicable, and sustainable ways to leverage the biology of diverse organisms.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Scientist who wants to join our Operations team and help us grow an ambitious, creative science organization by spearheading our scientific communication and technical recruitment efforts. Our ideal candidate has the scientific understanding, through training and direct experience as a scientist, to understand our needs, identify top talent, and explain Arcadia’s unique opportunity. This role will require the candidate to understand and be a part of the communities we are in to develop and present an accurate and compelling message that describes our work. You'll gain hands-on experience partnering directly with our leadership team to innovate on communication and engagement strategies that enable recruitment. This work is critical for enabling our next phase of growth.

We’re seeking either scientists with at least four years of intensive research training, such as recent PhD graduates or industry professionals who are excited about our mission and willing to contribute in an external-facing capacity. We would also be excited to bring on experienced technical recruiters with a deep understanding of and experience in biology. If you have a passion for increasing operational efficiency through outside-the-box, first-principles thinking in an experimental science organization, we encourage you to apply.

The candidate should also be motivated to leverage cutting-edge digital and automation practices. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is enthusiastic about developing robust external communication programs that support Arcadia’s strategy

    • Organize events open to the scientific and entrepreneurial communities at our HQ.
    • Generate external written and multimedia materials to help tell Arcadia’s story. Be confident and compelling in delivering a pitch that covers the mission, vision, values of the company, as well as the details of each role we are hiring for.
    • Engage with industry groups, professional organizations, and academic institutions to establish relationships that foster candidate referrals and partnerships. Develop and maintain a network of potential candidates, continuously expanding our reach.
    • Leverage data to monitor the effectiveness of recruitment strategies. Regularly report on the progress and provide actionable insights for continuous improvements.
    • Work closely with the Operations team on other projects as needed.
