This Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller role will be part of the firm’s Operations and Accounting team and will report to the Director of Operations. This role is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day finance, accounting, operations and tax functions across the firm’s asset lending entities and the management company. This position presents an exciting opportunity and will play an integral part in helping to build the operational and finance processes as Architect continues to grow and scale.


    • Assist in managing cash distributions, capital funding, credit lines, and interest payments
    • Perform bi-weekly reconciliations of portfolio companies’ information, including preparing and reviewing loaning amortization schedules
    • Oversee journal entries as part of month-end process and prepare monthly financial deliverables
    • Manage communications with the portfolio companies and banks
    • Liaise with key service providers, including auditors, tax preparers, fund administrator and counterparties
    • Assist with annual audits of financial statements and tax preparation
    • Maintain management company budget, assist with FP&A and review expenses
    • Assist with RIA compliance
    • Prepare quarterly reports and prepare updates on the underlying portfolio companies for investors
    • Work closely with the investment team on operational due diligence of portfolio companies
    • Ad hoc projects to support investment / operations teams


    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • CPA required; CFA is a plus
    • 4+ years of relevant experience in fund accounting, public accounting, fund operations, finance or a related function
    • Strong analytical, quantitative and Excel modeling ability
    • Quickbooks experience preferred
    • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing cross-functional initiatives
    • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Extremely self-driven, organized, and resourceful
    • Basic knowledge of (or experience in) FinTech and technology space
