Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As a Senior Retail Analyst, Insights, you play a pivotal role in sculpting the landscape of business intelligence within our dynamic retail environment. Positioned at the heart of our Retail Strategic Initiatives Department, you will be instrumental in crafting, deploying, and refining sophisticated reports and analytics solutions. By directly collaborating with our Manager, Retail Analytics, alongside key partnerships with the FP&A, Operations Solution, and IT teams, your work will significantly impact our vertical retail division’s performance.
Your mission will involve seamlessly weaving together data analysis and business strategy, serving as a critical bridge that transforms raw data into actionable insights. Embrace the challenge of an agile work environment where your retail and industry expertise in finance and/or workforce planning empowers you to conceptualize, develop, and implement robust reporting frameworks that drive strategic decisions.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

The Retail Strategic Initiatives team is responsible for driving and delivering global scalable strategies to attain our business goals.  The team is the conduit between the stores and the cross-functional partners, aligning, projects, strategies, to deliver the future to our retail fleet.  

If you were the Senior Retail Analyst, Insights role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

    • Leading large complex analytics and reporting project, delivering accurate and repeatable business reporting and insights to stakeholders across all levels
    • Proactively helping the business leverage data and insights to enhance the ability to inform on Retail efforts
    • Applying a customer and stakeholder-oriented approach to design and user experience
    • Defining, building, and maintaining Retail performance metrics
    • Designing, implementing, and overseeing the maintenance of Power BI reports and other business intelligence tools
    • Developing and proposing business intelligence strategies and solutions to drive data-driven decision making
    • Leading requirements gathering and scoping, short and long-term planning, and sequencing of initiatives that drive successful business outcomes
    • Assisting with the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security
    • Conducting ad-hoc analyses, reports, and calculations tailored to strategic needs
    • Translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensure the seamless execution of reporting projects, maintaining high standards of quality
    • Collaborating closely with various departments to ensure a holistic approach to cross-functional reporting and data analysis
    • Participating in strategic and tactical planning discussion, including preparing and delivering project status and progress to senior management
    • Preparing project artifacts such as project plan and scope documents
    • Communicating complex data findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Are you our next Senior Retail Analyst, Insights?

    • You have a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, data science, or a related field 
    • You have 5+ years’ experience in business analytics, insights generation, and reporting
    • You have consulting experience 
    • You have proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools, such as Python, R, and Power BI
    • You have a proven track record in fostering cross-company collaboration, managing complex data sets, and crafting compelling narratives from intricate information
    • You are exceptional in project management skills and are capable of leading multiple projects of diverse complexity
    • You are a strategic and creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
    • You possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, adept at engaging various audiences through data storytelling
    • You have a strong sense of responsibility, urgency, and the drive to excel
    • You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
    • You have agility and adaptability in ambiguous situations, with a passion for innovation and excellence
    • You are highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity

$91,000 - $114,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $91,000- $114,000 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. 

Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
