Location: This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Remote candidates must be committed to Pacific time zone hours aligned with the Arc’teryx headquarters location in North Vancouver, B.C. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Your Opportunity at Arc’teryx:
As the Senior Manager, Merchandising & Product Lifecycle Technology, you will be responsible for planning, designing, enhancing, deploying, and supporting all aspects of the Merchandising and Product Lifecycle Management systems. You will provide strategic leadership on integrated business processes, whilst enabling the Merchandising, Design and Product Creation teams to create the best products and assortments for the mountain athlete.
The role will own, prioritize, optimize, and execute on the Merchandising and Product strategic roadmap, from discovery, design, vendor selection, delivery, and support, in conjunction with the business partners. You will lead cross-functional agile product squads and manage the technology lifecycle, including budget and resource allocation. You provide coaching and leadership to the team, ensuring they are supported in their day-to-day challenges and set up for success in delivering high quality solutions.

- Developing and executing the strategic direction for the Merchandising & Product Lifecycle suite of products, in alignment with the business objectives
- Leading, managing, and overseeing a cross-functional team to ensure alignment, collaboration and execution and successful delivery of teams' projects, initiatives, and strategic goals
- Owning the delivery of executing on the product roadmap, including planning and delivery of major projects, and ongoing enhancement change requests in line with the planning and delivery framework. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and business partners to plan, prioritize and manage the delivery of enhancements and new functionalities
- Providing leadership and guidance to ensure effective governance of the Merchandising & Product Lifecycle solution and adherence to best practices
- Ensuring delivery excellence by building high performing agile product teams
- Establishing and enforcing design principles, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency and maintain system integrity
- Collaborating efficiently and effectively by building strong relationships with cross-functional teams within the technology department and across the business
- Driving the adoption of the solution by executing on the technology vision for the Merchandising & Product Lifecycle Platform. Providing functional leadership and guidance to help optimize business processes and unlock hidden value
- Managing system version upgrades, maintenance patching and continuous improvement of the technology stack, including security management, and root cause analysis to proactively identify and resolve system failures
- Staying up to date with the latest developments in Merchandising & Product Lifecycle technology functionality and identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process by providing insights to optimize costs. Monitoring and controlling the cost of executing the roadmap, optimizing resource allocation for maximum efficiency
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior management and business SMEs by providing thought leadership and recommendations on leveraging Merchandising & Product system capabilities to drive business growth and optimize business operations
- Building strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and consultants to leverage their expertise to support and enhance the Merchandising & Product system landscape
- Collaborating with other Technology peers to ensure best-in-class SDLC management from solutioning of the business requirements through to development, testing and deployment of world-class solutions
- Managing the vendor relationships that support the Merchandising & Product technology stack and ensuring alignment with contractual agreements and service level expectations. Supporting and leading the RFP process/procurement initiatives as needed
- Supporting the Merchandising & Product portfolio of applications by monitoring and maintaining the performance of the applications. Troubleshooting failures, monitoring jobs and resolving issues in line with SLAs. Continually improving the internal IT processes and tools based on ITIL standards for Incident Management
- Identifying training requirements and coordinating end user training for ERP systems

Are you our next Senior Manager, Merchandising & Product Lifecycle Technology?
- You have a bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in Information Technology, Business or a related field
- You have 8+ years of hands-on experience in deploying, managing, and supporting the Merchandising & Product Lifecycle systems like Centric PLM, Centric Visual Boards, Clo3D etc.
- You have a deep business process knowledge of key areas such as Master Data Management, Product Lifecycle Management, Merchandise Planning, including a solid understanding of the system architecture, terminology, and methodologies
- You have over 5+ years of strong leadership experience, with an ability to build and lead high performing teams, with experience in training, coaching and supervising team members.
- You have strong proven experience in successfully using agile methodologies and Scrum certification (CSM, CSPO, etc.) is a nice to have
- You have the ability to shape and deliver large, complicated projects, that meet business expectations. You are adaptable, demonstrate forward thinking and able manage multiple tasks within tight timescales
- You have proven stakeholder management skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should be able to collaborate and contribute as a team player, and are able to build strong, positive relationships both within your team, and cross functionally with the business and technology teams
- You possess a high level of analytical and critical thinking with strong time management and planning skillsets.

$125,000 - $156,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$125,000 - CAD$156,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
