Your opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Our Director, Manufacturing, reporting into our SVP, Global Supply, you will oversee and manage all aspects of our apparel end-to-end manufacturing operations for ARC’One, our Manufacturing Facility based in New Westminster, Canada. Your primary focus is on the long-term strategic vision and strategy of our manufacturing operation, shaping the organization and leading the changes required as we transform and scale. You will collaborate with leaders from Raw Materials, Sourcing, Product Creation Development, Quality, and other teams responsible for bringing our product to life globally, influencing and molding together cohesive strategies. You are accountable for the P&L of the facility and actively drive consistency, clarity, and accuracy forward with our finance team.
Your team runs the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, including Engineering, Production, re-manufacturing (reBird) production team, production Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Maintenance. As the manufacturing leader, you will be accountable for delivering excellence across key performance indicators such as product quality, on-time delivery, repair service levels, cost efficiency, and order fulfillment. You play an active role coaching and developing your team and fostering a culture grounded in continuous improvement, innovation, craftsmanship, and cross-functional collaboration. Your manufacturing expertise will play a critical role in identifying and implementing advanced manufacturing opportunities across our global supply network.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Take responsibility and ownership of Arc’teryx Manufacturing strategy at ARC’One and lead the evolution of a comprehensive, long-term strategic vision and strategy that amplifies operational excellence as our organization expands and becomes more complex on a global scale.
- Provide leadership and oversight of operations across the end-to-end manufacturing functions, ensuring cross-functional alignment and operational synergy.
- Lead and act as a key Manufacturing thought leader for strategic initiatives organizationally
- Develop and implement forward-looking cohesive strategies with like leaders that align with Arc’teryx’s broader business goals enable long-term growth.
- Define and drive performance targets and KPIs for ARC’One, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Design, Product Creation Development, Sourcing, Raw Materials, Quality, and other teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing opportunities across our global supply network.
- Drive new product introduction improvements that are aligned with our product ready and buy ready commercialization process.
- Build strategic partnerships with Creative, Design, and Product Creation Development stakeholders to co-develop and pilot advanced concepts, enabling rapid innovation and accelerated time-to-market.
- Lead the evolution of our Recommerce and Repair programs, scaling the ARC’One ReBird team to deliver on corporate sustainability commitments and circular economy goals.
- Own delivery of ARC’One P&L output and financial targets, aligning with enterprise-level cost of quality, efficiency, and cost of sales performance metrics.
- Optimize ARC’One capacity through scalable process and systems improvements, data-informed product mix strategies, and effective workforce planning.
- Build and mentor a high-performing manufacturing leadership team and develop a robust talent pipeline in alignment with the company’s talent strategy.
- Oversee key business transformation initiatives, including SAP implementation and shop floor control systems, ensuring successful integration and value realization.
Experience, education and/or skills:
- You have 12+ years’ experience in product development and production operations, with 3+ years in a leadership role
- You have a complete understanding of the product lifecycleprocess
- You have proven track record for setting up and maintaining an excellent manufacturing environment
- You have a strong knowledge of Arc’teryx products and processes
- You have a proven ability to influence and collaborate with a group of cross-functional stakeholders
- You have proven people leadership, mentorship and project management skills
- You demonstrate initiative, agility andcommitment
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal)skills
- You are detailed and accuracy oriented with strong organizationalskills
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
$149,000 - $186,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$149,000 - CAD$186,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
